G4M 'Betty Bomber" Rabaul

Rabaul was a regular port and we used to go into the jungle to look at the old wartime wrecks.

This one is a Misubishi G4M 'Betty' bomber. Thats me wrapped in a towel because of the clouds of mosquitos!

In 1994 the volcano erupted and everything is now gone forever.

I have a control surface I souvenired still hanging in my shed!
