On the beach in Broome

Broome has a tide range of 10m, as this old picture shows.

I used it to advantage to put Lady Cynthia on the hard for repairs to the bow-thruster - save the Company a long, expensive trip to Singapore dry dock.

Groped our way in at midnight when the best tide was available.

Campers in Broome Caravan Park were a bit surprise to wake up and find a ship on their beach.

Had a 20t anchor on our tow wire to drag ourselves back to sea on the next tide - too shallow to use the main engines.

Cant do that now - environmental concerns.............
